They changed their build system to cmake, and are having a lot of mess in it (problems with multilib, library detection, some errors in the scripts). I worked for some time on an updated spec to trunk, but after i realized there were too many troubles and workarounds needed i gave up. I think its better to stick with current chosen revision (or go ahead a bit, but before the switch to cmake), till things get steadier.
