I think this has reached a state where it can be reviewed (in the traditional packaging/spec sense) and released to the end users, and further development and discussion can happen in bugzilla tickets filed against specific problems or enhancements. - the CVS version of gnome-main-menu is now at 0.6.3, Chris were you planning on integrating the patches into a more recent version ?
