The package contains the guideline-required %{!?python_sitearch: %define python_sitearch %(%{__python} -c "from distutils.sysconfig import get_python_lib; print get_python_lib(1)")} line. This ensures that python_sitearch gets set to something, but your error message looks like it wasn't set at all, not even an invalid value.
