about NM_DBUS_SIGNAL_STATE_CHANGE you can safely add the following lines to
network-status-agent.c:
#ifndef NM_DBUS_SIGNAL_STATE_CHANGE
#define NM_DBUS_SIGNAL_STATE_CHANGE "StateChange"
#endif

but about NM_DBUS_INTERFACE_DEVICES I don't really know. that was a macro that
used to point to org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.Devices but that class doesn't
exist anymore in the dbus api.

I've found this link about the old api, hoping it's of any help:
http://people.redhat.com/dcbw/NetworkManager/NetworkManager%20DBUS%20API.txt

sigh, I hate both nm and dbus!! how can they change the api that way without
documenting it???
