The only reason I'd want ZF segmented is to control which binary dependencies yum installs. I don't mind the bloat of PHP source files but I might not want certain extensions installed. How about using the packages' extension dependencies as a guide to grouping them? Extension dependencies: http://framework.zend.com/manual/en/requirements.extensions.html All the Zend_Service packages can definitely go in one package.
