I've been on this list for over 15 years, and last made a comment around eight years ago, but will delurk to say how sad this news is, albeit inevitable. Since I read the Axis series I have been absolutely addicted to Sara's works and have every book she has written, including her final Devil's Diadem which kept me guessing. Very sad someone so talented died relatively young.
While I have delurked can I also just say how brilliant Ray's last book was. The twist at the very end literally stunned me. I absolutely can't wait until the next book, as that little twist has opened up so many possibilities. I had the pleasure of lunching with her and some other Australian authors years back, our only meeting. She was charming, funny, and very kind to me, and claimed I was an influence, though I always thought she had her own voice. I imagine quite a few on this list are familiar with her work, and those of you who are not would do well to try out one of her stories.
