Age - I am 45.
Location - I live in Maryborough in Australia. I have been lurking on this list
since 96.
Job - I spent most of my working life in Retail management. My wife is a nurse.
A few years ago my wife and I created and run a national charity called Camp
Autism part-time and I am a Carer part-time. We operate in every state and have
a franchise in Canada. I suppose I could be called a part-time author as well.
I published a book on Aspergers syndrome a few years ago and I have just
finished my second book on living with Aspergers. I have a couple of others in
the works.
Family - We have 9 kids between us. We are both on our second marriage so we
have mine, hers and ours. Six are scattered all over the world. Only the three
youngest live at home, and they all have autism and other disabilities.
Outside interests - I was diagnosed with Aspergers (a type of autism) at 42.
While most adult men hide their Aspergers, I decided to go public and become
an advocate. When I am not running around after children, I am a gamer. I
dabbled in DDO, WOW and STO, but I prefer games like Civilization and Heroes of
might and Magic.
