Very true Dave makes a LOT of sense the basic nutrients etc and amino acids etc
in milk are a LOT different to meat and ofc a young brain still forming would
be affected by this ( though how significant it is I don't really know am only
a nurse not a doctor or microbiologist ).

Sorry
to put the topic back onto serious thoughts but I
noticed this when I read the book too, but I actually didn’t see it as an error
or continuity glitch, though it very well could be. Whenever we have details
about Draken Korin he is always being described as a bit odd by the nature of
their people. When describing the Tiger People, Ashen Shugar’s thought is “They
were nothing to the Valheru, only posing as a reminder that Draken Korin was,
by commonly held opinion, the strangest of their kind.” So, when I read about
the nursing, it just struck me as a sign that, even from birth, Draken Korin
was a bit different than the rest of the Valheru.

That
was my take, anyway.

It did say later in the book that he was the genius of his kind,
maybe that is what did it. But no use crying over spilled milk…….dfrf

You're all mistaken. It's implied that, after eating the raw milk, the Valheru
then devoured the tiger.

Perfectly reasonable.
