Hi there!
One and a half year ago I contacted Randomhouse Germany (part of the
bertelsmann group
with with their publishers goldmann, blanvalet) and asked, when "Rides
a dread legion" and
"At the Gates of Darkness" will be published in german language/in
germany.
Surprisingly the answer was, that they will _NOT_ publish your new
books any more in
germany. Raymond Feist himself gave some more Information [1]:
"The two titles you've mentioned are the first we did with
HarperCollins on a
world wide basis, so they're handling all foreign rights deals instead
of my
usual international representative"
and a year later [2]:
"OK, the latest is that Goldman has sort of run out of gas about the
series, it seems, and after a long deliberation decided to pass, as has
Piper. So, HarperCollins is now in discussion with a couple of other
publishers."
So my questions are:
Are there any news for a new german publisher?
Are there any news to publish "Rides a dread legion" & follop-ups in
german language?
Are there any negotiations with possible new german publishers?
Please, dont leave us desperate here in Germany. :( Since 3 years we
are waiting.
Also, some books of the "Darkwar Saga" are out of print and sell for
horrific prices [3]
Best regards,
Stefan
