One of my most prized possession to remind me of my mother (now gone) is her last empty pack of cigarettes, the last one she ever smoked. The story here is that when I was a young kid I was insisting very strongly that she stops smoking, and when she finally stopped, on November 22.... I never noticed.... until she wrapped that empty pack as a Christmas gift a month later, with a note inside that was basically a laugh at me. More than 30 years later I still have the pack and the note :)
She never smoked after that, she in fact disliked the smell of it very strongly afterward.
