I reply to things every so often but generally just listen to what Ray says about subjects. Atlanta, GA USA person here so unless Ray comes to DragonCon I rarely get the chance to meet him as his book tours tend not to come here. Edward deGruy Student of Humanity. Thanks for your responses, especially from other 'seasoned' lurkers. Troy, Paul (thanks for your insight into Merchant Prince - I hadn't made the coffee house connection before, but then again, I've never had a great interest in history, just Ray's "historical fiction"!), Barbara (sorry, won't be at Heathrow on the 22nd, although your 'black robe' reference made me smile - and I'm not worried about Jimmy, because he's my friend!), Cameron, and Lani (thanks for the name idea - see below!) - very nice to 'meet' all of you! Not to mention my little trek into London on Monday to see you-know-who, and to purchase a copy of M.E., so that Ray could sign it for me (sorry to th ose outside the UK)! Ray was rather busy, but I had a very pleasant chat with Eric-the-t-shirt, Barry, and crydee.com-John. I haven't yet had a chance to get far into M.E. (although holiday coming up soon, which is GREAT timing!), but come on John - a mention in the Acknowledgements for both you AND your lovely wife? That's pushing privileges a bit, isn't it?! ;-) And to make you all jealous, I actually got to TOUCH John's "Brown Bomber" copy of Magician. WOOHOO!!! There, I managed to keep it short(-ish) - well, shorter than my first post, at least!
