I think the only thing he has going for him is he is exercising his statutory rights. He has the right to purchase a product that has zero defects. And in this case it seems he will not be purchasing the last 2 books until he is convinced that any mistakes have been corrected. You wouldn't buy food that mouldy, you wouldn't buy a car that unsafe why buy a book you can't read correctly??
He could buy it, read it and take it back stating it's not fit for purpose due to typos etc....lol I on the other hand have a signed copy of ACI that has the miss print and is bound upside down.
