Ray,

I want to thank you for the many years of enjoyment you gave me through
your novels. I began reading your books when I was sixteen. I had to
catchup because I was 4 years and three books behind. When Betrayal at
Krondor came out, I was first in line to buy it and spent hours living in
your universe through the game.

Recently a very good friend of mine committed suicide. The demons he
fought, he just couldn't beat. He was a huge fan of yours. He often
reminded me of Nakor in that he had an insatiable desire to do stuff and
his joy in learning was unmatched. We often discussed your books and that
it was in those first discussions where we became friends. Unfortunately he
will not be able to share in the end of the Magician series, but I believe
he would say it was a very satisfying end to a huge part of our lives.

Thank you Ray. Thank you for the joy you brought a couple of sixteen year
old boys, who grew into men and never stopped enjoying the words you put on
paper. I look forward to entering into the next chapter with you.

Scott
