I'm a re-re-re-reader of books (no, that's not a stutter) so after spending considerable time worrying that the ending might be too sad to ever re-read, I must conclude that you took my heart, scrunched it up and then caressed it back to life. Giving one's life for their child? Yes. We'd all do that. Very clever, probably the only true 'End' that didn't leave your fans eternally shattered.
