I know, but my region doesn’t include SD.

It just struck me as funny. My eyes tripped over the name of the company and
my brain locked up while I tried to figure out why it sounded so familiar.
Probably, /specifically/ because I would really only expect to remember a work
related thing if they were in my region, and since he’s in SD my brain was all
‘wait, wait, Cubic? I know this company…why do I know this company?’.

“Small world” sort of thing.

The thing about the defense contracting world, is that you are either a Prime,
or you’re a small niche player with a specific skill set. There are thousands
of niche companies, and by the time you get down to what it is that his company
and my company do, the chance of overlap can be minimal.

Like I said, FWIW moment
