Sorry for the confusion - Gmail nicely filters list e-mails, but my ISP's 
system is a different story, as there seems to be a black hole between their 
servers and Cornell's system.

I'll contact their (my ISP's) tech support.

BTW - Gmail is good a "learning" that a message marked spam is not spam.
