Why would I fight George? He’s a great guy. I’ve known him since 1986.

HBO would never get my stuff. They have certain demands on licensing and
equity. if I ever see my stuff on the little or big screen it will because
someone with financing arrived before we talked to networks. And there are so
many different players now in the US: Showtime, Starz, Spike, FX (and a couple
of other Fox channels), Spike, Netflix, Amazon, Audience (DirecTV), etc.

As I tell every naive soul who says, “Did you ever think about making Magician
into a movie?” (Why no! Thank you, what a great idea!), we talk to TV, Film,
Game companies all the time. So far I’ve had 2 computer games and a comic book
adaptation. Remember, it took Lord of the Rings almost 50 years to make it to
the screen as a live action film series.

Best, R.E.F.
