You can also play audio books on the older style of Kindle as they have an audio out jack. The new paper white models can't do it though as they literally have no audio out jack. Not sure about the Kindle Fire.

Audible uses a proprietary format for their audio books. It is not MP3, so if you just have an "MP3 player" it won't work. If you have an iPod (most models) or a smart phone (android, iPhone, etc.) you can see about downloading the audible app from the smart phone provider.

Here's the link to the audible.com supported devices, which I would expect is similar in Australia:

Alternately, you can play the audible books on your PC or Mac (and probably Linux if you are savvy enough).

Audible UK has Prince of the Blood and The Kings Buccaneer available.

I’ve never bought from audible.uk before, im in austraila – does anyone know much about using audible? I have an MP3 player and would want to play the books while in the car. Am I going to have any problems buying from the uk site?
