Currently I’m on my first trip through this series (except for reading the Riftware Saga 10 years ago), and halfway through The King’s Buccaneer now.
It’s upsetting to think I’ll be at a stage like yourself Matthew, where there’s no more story to look forward too. Reading again is great… but not the same as the first time. On that note, you only feel that way about a great story/series – and the world of Midkemia is rated on the top of my list. Looking forward to what I have left of the series, and any future works from REF. I have found myself immensely saddened as I closed the book on Midkemia as it dawned on me that I would never again be able to experience that world and the wonders of it. As cliché as it is I feel as though I've lost something very precious to me in the characters and the world itself and am already looking forward to re committing myself to it all over again at a later time in my life. I won't bore anyone any further with the ramblings of just another fan hoping that the much admired and respected author will actually read their email.
