Hey Ray, for every day sort of scotch drinking (i.e. modestly priced bottles
that you can pour over ice) what would you recommend? What is the best of the
every day sort of scotches? Or anyone else who can give input is great of
course!!

Secrets? How did I do that? Autocorrect of Select or not enough coffee?
Anyway, it’s Small Batch Special Reserve.
As a former wife of mine used to say, “pretty good junk.” Code for “I like it.”

Ray, I went ahead and got friends a bottle of the Jameson Black Barrel for
Christmas but haven't gotten to taste it yet. But having the Glen Moray 16
right now. Happy New Year to all!

Black Barrel is nice. Nothing spectacular, but mostly notable because it’s an
off label bottling of the Small Batch Special Secrete they released in South
Africa (with some bottles going to Germany) for the Soccer World Cup a few
years ago. Only released in NYC and some surrounding areas. I got mine mail
order from one of my NY sources.
