A lot of the web doco needs upgrading, but we're a bit
short of human resources .. feel free to become a developer
and contribute!

At this stage the product is basically in two parts:
all the active development goes in SVN archive.
Anyone with any serious interest has to use the bleeding edge.

There is also a 'shrink wrapped' version in the form of the
tarball and a Debian/Ubuntu package which is way out of
date and unsupported.

The current Felix system includes Haskell like typeclasses
(think 'concepts' if you're a C++ programmer). This has a
profound impact on the way generic programming is done,
including the libraries. Now the basic compiler support
is done and works .. which was a fairly heavy undertaking ..
the libraries are being upgraded. So there's been no release
for some time whilst we're working on that.

Part of the problem is that we're crazy developers!
We like implementing cool ideas and doing so tends to take
precedence over stabilising things, documenting them,
and going through all the hoops needed to create releases.
We do test on a fairly wide class of platforms.
