without an IDE and a minimal debugger.  Help is required though.

The only reason it does is that JavaScript sucks, and that even nice 
browsers (like Firefox) are rather heavyweight.  A decent browser with a 
decent language might make this feasible.

Being able to use you FavouriteEditor would help a lot.  Etc.

If Felix were to "embrace the web model" (rather like Google has, but 
within the limits provided by browsers), that could be its killer app.  
*especially* if you also figure out a way to leverage its concurrency 
features.
