I do make the argument that if you're programming, either commercially
or for fun, you should build and install Felix anyhow. And keep it up
to date.

You can then use it for "quick and dirty" one off programs, which everyone
has to write regularly. These are jobs you'd normally write in bash,
a bit of Perl or some Python.

There's a cost: you have to use up some bandwidth to download the
repository, and commit some time and some processing time to
build it, and some small amount of time to learn enough to use
it for simple applications.

The benefit is that I will be encouraged.
