Making the C++ readable is a major challenge.
I more or less know how to debug it but it isn't easy.

Preserving "original" names would go a long way to improving
the situation. So would a back end pretty printer.

Felix at present does a lot of work just to minimise
the number of (parenthesis) emitted: there's a whole
mechanism dedicated to just that.
