Thank you very much Sally - Nina mentioned your name how great it was to
find you on the list as well as the rest of the members - you guys are
such a treasure to me.

Dr. Basko basically suggested raw meat diet for all FeLV kitties -
suggested that I do not give her dry food as it may have a negative
impact on her kidney.
Ginger did not like raw meat, but will try to make a gradual switch as
much as I can as I heard so many good things about it.

Yes, I would love you buy a TF from you, I was just going to place an
order with them today - how could I purchase it from you.

Subject: Re: Ginger's Miracle

Dear Hideyo:

So glad to hear that Ginger is improving! I have Dr. Goldstein's book
and
find it invaluable. I wish I could send a copy of it to everyone on the
list.

I sent a letter to Dr. Goldstein asking for some feedback about further
info
and ideas for treating FeLV+ kittys and am hoping he will find time to
reply.
I am very interested in knowing why he did not recommend the
Immuno-Augmentive therapy for cats with FeLV, yet did for FIV.

I have also wanted to contact Dr. Basko to find out more about the
special
diet he has developed for cats with FeLV, but did not realize he would
do phone
consults.
Does he have a general diet for all FeLV+ cats or does he make specific
recommendations for a specific cat, in the way homeopathic remedies are
prescribed
depending on each individual cat's symptoms and behavior?

Ginger is certainly getting good supportive care and supplementation. I

first used Transfer Factor with a kitten who came down with
Panleukopenia and was
able to pull her through after the vet gave her almost no chance for
survival
without being hospitalized. But then I lost her 5 mos. later to FeLV
and
nonregenerative anemia. If I had known then what I do now, I would have
kept her
on long-term immune support, and would have realized that her playmate
may
have been FeLV+. I lost her at 18 mos., probably due to lymphoma.

I have two other FeLV+ kittens, now 18 mos. old and they get TF as part
of
their immunosupportive supplements. They remain stable with only mild
gingivitis, so far. I recently became a 4Life distributor so that I
could buy the TF
products wholesale (I have used both the Animal Stress Pack and the
human TF
Plus caps). Where do you get your TF? If I can help you (or anyone else
who
wants to try using TF) get the products at the wholesale price, let me
know.

I have a third kitten who tested FeLV+ at 6 weeks and was put on the
same
raw-based diet and immune support (including TF) and when he was
neutered at 6
mos., he re-tested NEGATIVE!

Here's hoping your sweet little Ginger will continue to eat well and
keep the
virus at bay. She is so lucky to have you to look after her and love
her.

Sincerely,

Sally in San Jose
