Hi Sheila,
Here's something that happened in my life that confirmed what I already believed about my animals being in heaven when I get there.
In 2002 I lost my grandfather. I'm sure some of you may remember. My grandfather was as close or closer to my sister and me than our parents. He was not a 'religious' man, but was one of the kindest, best men I've ever known. EVERYONE knew and loved him so much.
He always loved hunting, and in his younger days he had hunting dogs. In his older years I gave him so much grief about it that he mostly went hunting for the scenery. lol.
Anyway, his last few days he was kind of in and out of consciousness. The day before he died he told my sister about a wonderful 'dream' he'd had. He said he dreamed of walking in a beautiful field with my sister, me, and one of his hunting dogs (I don't remember the name of the dog, but it had been one of his favorites.) She said he had such an incredible look of peace and excitement telling her about this dream. That it was almost as if after the dream he was not afraid anymore. That night I sat with him, and I 'just knew' he was leaving soon.
I called in the family and then the nurses and doctors said I was wrong, to go home and get some sleep. (The hospital was an hour from my house.) Against my intuition I went home, and he died by the time I came home.
I'll never not trust that 'voice' again.... but anyway, even someone like my grandfather who didn't really believe in keeping animals for 'pets' saw his dog in heaven.
They are certainly there.
I'll have to have a big house there! lol.

Thanks Kathy, Seeing them all again will be wonderful. Like you I have had pets of all kinds and I loved them all (even some that were not so lovable.)It makes it easier knowing that they will be there for me when it is my turn to go.
Love, Sheila
