holly, i'm sorry about your tigger-darling. as others have said, blood clots are so unpredictable, and in most cases, seldom treatable. at the sanctuary, a lot of FeLVs seemed to develop them, but i don't know if it's actually more common in FeLVs or not....
i'm way behind in my reading, so my thoughts and GLOW are for everyone on the list whose lost a furkid or is dealing with that possibility. remember how lucky all our cats are that they have us--as unhumble as that sounds, it's true: caring for and letting them go may tear our hearts out, but it gives them the love and warmth and joy that they would NEVER have known otherwise. their gifts to us are immeasurable, our gifts of kindness to them--which sometimes means helping them find their way to the bridge--seem such small things in perspective.... and tamara, i think you are ABSOLUTELY correct--they are all up there, laughing and clowning around in the catnip fields, taking turns telling the others about their silly humans. (and worrying about how we're EVER gonna survive without their taking care of us, since clearly we can't do it on our own--so none of us should be surprised when a new, totally unexpected cat walks into the house and unpacks--our bridge cats have sent them to make sure we're okay!)
