hee hee--be really careful about those persians, they really grow on
you! when FirstCat went to the bridge, i needed a black kitten and the
only one in town was a persian. thought they were terribly
funny-looking, but i figured by the time she grew up, i'd be used to
the way she looked. that was in '82, and the longest i've gone without
a persian in the house was 3 months.... i'm currently owned by seven of
them, and will never be without their particularly silly energy! i
STILL think they're pretty funny looking, but their sweetness and way
of being in the world is addictive. i've watched a lot of people start
out thinking mine were ugly--and every one has ended up charmed by
their particulary persian personality....
and yes, they ARE the most difficult to force-feed and medicate--hard to stick a pill in those tiny mouths! unfortunately,
a lot of persians have misaligned jaws, mouths that won't close, bottom
teeth that overlap--the result of being the most popular cat and thus,
the most over and unwisely bred....
