Leah,
How high is the fever? I am sending healing thoughts your way ;-))

Leah,
It may be "typical" that FelV kitties run temps, but that doesn't mean
there isn't something going on besides the FelV status. I don't
remember hearing about you Mikey before, (sorry if I missed the
threads), how old is he? Has he any other symptoms besides getting sick
this time? Do you have him on any immune support supplements? Is it
possible he is actually fighting the actual virus and not something else
he's caught due to poor immune response? I'm so glad you took him in to
the vet, but one thing we've all learned is that you can't take a "wait
and see" approach with these guys. At the first sign of illness, you
have to jump on it fast and aggressively.

We've talked quite extensively about different ways to help entice a
kitty to eat. Let us know if you want some suggestions. I'm sending
good thoughts and prayers to you and Mikey for a speedy recovery.
Nina

He told me that it is typical of the positive condition for a cat to run a high fever from time to time, on the order of a roller coaster effect. The lack of appetite and energy are direct results. He gave him shots of Flocillin and Dypivone, along with Clovamax drops for me to administer for the next 7 days. He directed me to call him in 24 to 36 hours to let him know how Mikey is doing.
