Is this the test that Dr. Plechnner suggest or is this something else?
If so, much cheaper than what the book says - huh?

I had Bailey and Joey tested with this special test, the lab charges
$120.00 per cat and my vet added $60.00 per cat, so I paid $180.00 per
test, I was a bit shocked but we did find out that both of them are very

low on cortisiod, and some other things. That's one of the reasons I
switching to homemade food and they are both on low doses of pred to try

and get their cortisiod up to normal levels, I need to retest just
haven't been able to yet. I think a restest is $70.00 or 80.00 per
test.

There are only 5 or 6 labs capable of doing the test, guess that's why
it is so expensive.

Good luck! Let me know what you find out - if you don't get what you
need, or need a second opinion (which I definitely recommend as non one
is 100% accurate at 100% of the time, as they told me),
Please try, Marta Williams is very good, too(she published a book called
"Learning their language", which is pretty amazing and Annette Martin
(?)-she also works with Police to help them find missing people
408-379-6669 as well.

My favorite person is Janet Shepherd -

Yes it is the test he suggests and was sent to the lab he has listed
on his website. I called them to ask how much they charged when I got
the bill from my vet and they charge $120.00 per test. Maybe the cost
he mentions is with his fee for handling and shipping.

Did your kitties get treated on his treatment? If so, how did it go? I
am very curious because of my OB is getting thinner and thinner - and so
is his hair..and I want to try it -
Did you use Antech or Idexx lab?

PS. I forgot to mention the first test she sent they never got, so
maybe she charged me a little something for that, we had to draw blood a
second time. Poor babies, they really hate that :(

   Hi,
This is the lab on his website that he has listed as doing the test:

National Veterinary Diagnostic Services (N.V.D.S)
27994 Bradley Rd., Suite 1
Sun City, CA 92586
Phone: (951) 672-1494
Website: www.national-vet.com

*Their cortisol was very low for both, their estrogen was alittle high
on both, their T3 and T4 was normal for both and the IgA, IgM, IgG's
were low on both.*

My vet put them both on prednisilone, and Joey was on metronidazole for
his off and on diarrhea. But the most important thing was to get them
both on hypoallergenic food, so I decided to make their food because
everyone around here eats the same thing and the hypoallergenic was just
too expensive and they didn't like it. It costs me about 7 or 8 dollars
a day to feed them and I haven't got it down pat yet, I'm still working
onthe supplements and figuring out how much to put in. I'm also trying
to come up with a dry food by dehydrating because I have a few that are
dry food junkies. It will probably be a good month before they are
completly off of the Fancy Feast, right now they are getting 2/3 rds my
stuff to 1/3 rd FF, but until I'm sure they are getting all of the
supplements they need I can't take them completely off the FF, my vet is
reseaching but there isn't much info for cooked homemade food, just raw
:) The protocal he lists is for humans, I think my vet talked to him
and that's where she got the treatment we're following (not positive of
that though, it does say to replace the cortisol with pred, or some
other choice on his protocal sheet).

Dear Belinda,
Hello. I have recently joined the Leukemia group so I am hopefull I am responding correctly. I have a resource that may be helpfull for your homemade diet. There is a book called"The Holistic Animal Handbook" by Kate Solisti-Mattelon and Patrice Mattelon that has a few recipes on homemade food. They consist of one part raw food but it is combined with other foods. I haven't tried any recipes as of yet because I just got the book. You can probably order it at a book store or from their website :www.AKinshipWith Animals.com. If you would like to e-mail Kate about questions her e-mail is:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Kate recently did an Animal Communication reading for me on my little kitty and was very helpfull. I hope that helps! I will keep an eye out for other sources. Best Wishes.

They've been on it for a while but until I can afford to retest I
really won't know how their levels are now and whether I need to adjust
the dose they are getting. With Bailey being positive we have to be
careful not to comprimise his immune system. Joey's diarrhea is much
better, and Bailey is eating better, he was starting to lose weight but
he also had stomastisis and had his teeth pulled, once that healed he
was eating good again. They have both gained alittle weight. Joey also
has mild to moderate cardiomyapathy we just found out, so we are also
going to start treatment for that shortly.

No - not yet - sometimes hopeful, sometimes sad. Sigh. We've gotten great
advice. Posting and passing out a flyer, and made a "business card" with
his picture on it. Offering a reward, but not saying on the poster how much.

Diane says she feels he's near water, and hiding. We've been
looking. We've been out just about everyday, and get great help from the
kids in the neighborhood.

Got it narrowed down to a few houses nearby, where they've seen a Siamese
cat, just haven't seen Sam.

Gloria,

Don't forget..."near water" may not be a stream or lake as would be our first assumption...but rather near a sewer drain...or inside of one (cats often like to go down there)....wouldn't hurt to put your head down a few and call...or sit there with some freshly warmed tuna or fried chicken.

Keeping you both in our prayers.
