I understand. What you are saying makes sense now. It is bad
that he is not responding at all to the dex. I am really sorry.
If you have not reached the vet, oral valium, if you have any in the
house, can calm them in their last stages. I have given a whole human dose
pill before, in the very end stages. I think it acts sort of like morphine--
calms and also makes the passing faster. As a warning, though, no vet has ever
advised me to do this. I have done it on my own.

thanx michelle- sorry i was unclear- yes he did get dex & depo. he actually got dex 2 x today. my vet wanted me to do it every 12 hrs. he will have a third injection tomorrow morning. the fact that he has actually gotten worse even with the injections on board is why my bfriend and I haved decided on tomorrow night, actually since i wrote about the descision about tomorrow night he has gotten increasingly uncomfortable and is starting to look slightly distressed, i was just about to call the vet at her home and ask if i could give him something slightyl sedative. |
