Huh, that's interesting to know.  I had been happy to find an article that was different from the only one you find on all the news sites and I hadn't been familiar with CCF or their stances.  I wonder if they realize it's also a consumer right to have morals and choose to buy/consume/support, or NOT, based on a company or business's practices.  hmph.

A very interesting and informative site I recently came across that many here could be interested in:

www.responsibleshopper.org

It gives ratings on various companies on their business practices and employee treatment etc and lists who owns what etc. e.g. sweatshops, pollution, ethics, discrimination.

Thanks for the additional info Tonya.

Well,  I don't know what's going on, but both these links are sponsored by the Center for Consumer Freedom.  The center for consumer freedom is against all animal rights and animal welfare groups and animal welfare laws.  For example they believe that puppy mills should not be put out of business because it's their consumer right to raise puppies in farm type conditions to produce 'cheaper goods' for consumers.  etc... etc.... They don't believe circus animals should be 'protected' because it's the consumer's right to go to a circus. etc.
