I think it's a good idea to get blood work done. I don't want to scare you, but another thing that depo helps a lot with is lymphoma, and they can sometimes get lymphoma  in their nasal passage as well as other places that would cause vomiting. If he has otherwise seemed ok I doubt this is the case, but it is a possibility to discuss with the vet. I think blood work is a good first course of action.  Also, is there a big veterinary hospital or vet school near Little Rock?
