Hideyo, I was just looking up Sucralfate, a prescription for someone on my IBD group has been given for their kitty.  I noticed that it is used for liver problems as well.  I don't know what George's specific problems are, but maybe when you find the support group, you could mention this drug and see what they say.  It was just too much of a coincidence, (and you know I don't believe in coincidence :)  to not pass the info along.
