Martha,

I am so sorry to read that you lost your dear Adri.  How long did you have Adri?  It's hard to lose a cat to felv, especially if they're very young.

It helps to remember though, that just like people.  You never know when it's going to be time for them to go.  It's just that with the leukemia you 'know' there's a problem.  I've lost kittens to other diseases as well.

You did a wonderful thing by giving homes to leukemia cats.  Most people just want to euthanize them immediately if they are positive because they 'are going to die'.  Well they are all going to die.

Thank goodness we don't euthanize people who have cancer, or heart disease, etc... because we know they have a poor prognosis.  And with felv, you just never know.  Some live many years.  I hope Chema does have many happy years with you, and again, I'm so sorry for your loss.

Thank you all for your words.  I am feeling very bad.

I still have chema, he is also FeLV(+) (I adopted Adri and Chema at the same time, i didn't know they had FeLV). Chema has been pretty heathly. I really hope he will be heathly for looong time.
