Just the messenger, sorry if it's already been posted. They took in animals after owner's deaths, plus FELV+ and FIV+ cats for a donation. if you have ever sent an animal there, you may want to look into reclaiming him/her. I will try to locate contact info.

Okay, now that the warrant's been served and the cats seized, I'm
allowed to release information on this situation! The facility that
was seized
upon was Wild Cat Ranch (www.wildcatranch.net) - it was
basically a "retirement" facility. When people can't continue to
care for their cats, they send them to this place and pay a stipend
for the cat's care. They also take in FeLV and FIV kitties and have
a feral
colony. From what I was told, there have been allegations
of abuse/neglect for years - the SPCA of Texas would go down,
investigate, give warnings, the facility would clean up it's act for
a while.
Apparently there's one "model" cat building that people
are shown - but that's not where most of the cats reside. Most of
the cats are living in corrugated metal sheds with dirt floors.
From what I was told, terrible living conditions. What finally
sparked the seizure - the IRS was investigating the money aspect of
the operation for fraud. People's cats would die, they would not be
informed of
the death, and the facility would continue to take
payments from the owners. All of the cats have been moved to the
Wild Animal Orphanage temporarily - until placement can be found. I
have no
idea what they are going to do with the feral and the
positives. Very sad. More details will be following about what kind
of
homes/rescue will be needed for the cats! Feel free to
crosspost!
