Have you asked him what he wants? I had communicators confirm what Kitty was telling me about chemo. If nothing else it gave her the opportunity to express herself and vent. It truly empowered her and, I believe, strengthened her. How many cats get to have input into their treatment? It also gave me very positive feedback as to my own feelings. Kitty is about 13 years old and her situation is different from Ewok's but she did think it proper to be asked what she wanted, not what I wanted. Further, having had others have this conversation with her, will provide comfort for me when I wonder, as we all do, if I did the right thing. A group of 4 confirmed my feelings. You do not need communicators to do this. You are attached enough to do it yourself. I did not have total confidence in my abilities and, given the gravity of the situation. needed other opinions. This may not meet your needs but I put it on the table for your consideration.
