It's wonderful to hear some good news, Nina!  You GO, Grace!

Love, Julie

p.s. I know exactly what you mean about the house!  The house next door just went up for sale and if I could afford it, I'd just move!!!!

I'm sorry I haven't been able to keep up with the list. Just to many
things on my plate. I feel like no matter how early I get up, or how
late I go to bed, I still can't get done what needs to be done. Looking
at the state of my house, you'd assume I was sitting on my butt eating
bon bons and watching TV.

Grace's vet visit yesterday went really well, at least as far as the
trauma involved. She was such a good girl! My Internist gave her a
thorough physical exam, and except for the fact that she's lost 2 lbs
and her eyes were unevenly dilated, she said she looks really good, (her
breathing is fine, no swollen lymph nodes, etc.). She couldn't tell if
Grace still has a heart murmur, because she was purring too loud to hear
her heart properly! What an angel my Gracie is. The Internist said we
could do blood work, but unless there's a problem with one of her
organs, which neither one of us thinks there is, it wouldn't show
anything conclusive. She suggested putting her on Baytril, sent me home
with subq fluids, (even though she's not dehydrated), and Dex shots,
(just in case). She also gave me some samples of novel protein dry
foods for Grace to try, (she's not eating and she's always liked dry
food, so what the heck). I'm trying to finish up the questionnaire from
the holistic practitioner, so we can get started on that. Grace did eat
a bit last night and seems to have a renewed desire to fight. I feel
more hopeful this morning.

I just gave her her first dose of Baytril, syringed some babyfood,
colostrum and Nutrical down her, (not enough, the darn syringe stuck and
I put too much pressure on it so it exploded food all over my hand), and
put some transdermal Cypro on her ear. I think her belly is bothering
her, so I may try a 1/4 Pepcid later.

Love and prayers to all those in trouble, and those of you who aren't as
well!
Nina
