Royal Canin does make S/O for both struvite and oxylate crystals. It is the only one that prevents both. I am not sure how-- maybe by very precisely regulating the ph to the normal level? Anyway, vets seem to be recommending it over the other ph foods because the others, like CD for struvite, apparently can, after a while, cause the other kind of crystal by forcing the ph too far into the other direction.  This may have happened with Lucy, who again has bladder stones which this time do not seem to be improving on the S/D diet for struvite bladder stones, which may mean her corrective diet caused oxylate stones which have to be removed surgically.  :(

think I have the s/o too.  I need to check.  It just seems strange to me that you would use the same food for struvite and oxcylate crystals........

My cats really like it.  I began mixing it with the ivd and they picked out all the royal cannin pieces... ha.
