Please tell Kyle that any cat will adjust to being indoor it is a matter of the parents be firm and not giving in. When Fred showed up at our door in 95 and I brought him in he would sit in front of the door and scratch and scratch, but I would just tell him, sorry Fred those days are over. He did this for a solid month, and I just kept telling him no Fred you don't get to go out anymore. I can tell you it was nerve racking at times but I knew he would get over, it was just a matter of time and waiting him out. He did and after that he really had no interest to go out, when the door was open he was never one I had to worry about running out.

He uses the enclosure but he can take it or leave it, when it's nice out sometimes he prefers the airconditioned house as does Cody my just had to go out cat, he definately prefers the indoors now that he has a choice :)

Maybe Kyle can compromise and if Squirmie really insists on going out, put him in a harness and take him out each day, that way he is safe and they get together time. Or he could biuld an enclosure of some kind, it can be done relatively inexpensively if he is handy at all, my guys love theirs!!

A girl on another list I'm on just lost one of her cats to she thinks a dog, it was deboweled and she still lets them go out during the day (keeps them in at night because this is when it happened), I just don't understand people. Your kitties are like 3 year olds, yea they kind of know a car is scary, but they don't precieve if it hits them it will most certainly kill them. I try to get people to see it's no different than letting your 3 year old run around unsupervised outside, but most just don't get it :(

You can forward this to Kyle if you like, I sure hope this little angel finds a home...
