Lynne,
It's kind of late, so don't be discouraged, I am sure you will get PLENTY
of answers/suggestions tomorrow.
I also am a huge believer in holistic/homeopathic medicine. My allopathic
vet & holistic vet work together, I am fortunate.
I am not familiar with exactly the condition your baby has. Can you explain
more? Is it a cancer?? (I took a break & looked up campylobacter infection,
I understand "a little more", but did your vet say this caused
cancer?????)
Transfer Factor is excellent. So is colustrum, and you can get it w/ olive
leaf extract. The olive leaf is effective against toxins). (I used that on
my fosters fighting distemper). Silica(e) is also excellent as an immune
booster.
Also, sulfur is an excellent "good for all". it is safe, & will NOT do
any harm w/ it's use. (I used it for my Jesse who had cancer)
Another excellent homeopathic remedy is "Bioplasma", it helps build up
blood & guard against anemia.
Arsenicum Album is great for diarrhea. Also, adding psyllium powder
as fiber. You can also try canned pumpkin. Pectin can also be added w/ the
psyllium.
Slippery elm, sprinkled over food, or in syrup form is also very
effective.
As far as aromatherapy, "cinnamon" is the one suggested.
Some holistic vets suggest "holding off" all solid/wet food for 24 hours or
so, providing water and using Anitra Frazier's chicken broth recipe.
Also, acidophilus will help.
Make sure you give her a Pro-Biotic, this is essential to fight off all the
"other"things going on in her system now.
All these items available in a "good" Natural Food store.
Hope I haven't confused or overwhelmed you......
If you need recipes for Slippery Elm Syrup or Chicken Broth, just let me
know....
PLEASE, update me on your baby & the cancer concerns.(I am still
confused how she developed cancer after campylobacter....)
BTW, did they treat that w/ erythromycin? From what I read that is
the AB of choice for that.
Also, was she thoroughly de-wormed & checked for all parasites,
giardia, coccidia, etc??
Sorry for all the questions, but maybe if I understood better, I'd be more
help.
Hope to hear again from you & see what other list members reply
with.
