Kitten chow is basically a growth food...If the kitten is getting overweight than stop feeding it... I think its Purina that says feed for a full year...Thats probably a good average time...

Kitten chow works well for older cats that have become under weight for whatever reasons... Like A/D it tastes good and often cats will eat it on their own when they turn their nose up at other food..
