Hey Jenn, Thanks for the sympathies. I was thinking about Cricket just now. I put his picture (the Christmas one) on my desktop at work, so I get to see him everyday. It reminds me that even though it seems now that he is just 'gone', like he'd never been here, it helps me to remember he WAS here, was a wonderful kitty, and how much I enjoyed his company. It makes me feel better. I am also hoping that his little spirit is hanging around our house for now so that I can see a sign and know that he forgives me for that last night instead of pts, because it was much harder on him. I know I didn't know that would happen, but I can't help but wonder if he thought I was trying to hurt him or had done something wrong to cause his suffering before he died, you know? I need to know that he's ok with what happened. My husband and I have both felt unsettled in our home these past couple of days, and I don't think it's from the recent prowler. Even my nephew mentioned without having heard us discuss this that he felt like Cricket was sending him signs. He said he went to sleep at his grandmother's Saturday night, and there were Crickets all around the bed. LOL. I thought that was cute. So maybe Cricket and I will both be settled soon and peaceful about that night. Thanks again.
