No, ultrasound does not hurt at all.  They shave the area and put some gel on it and then just hold the wand of the ultrasound machine on the area. No skin is broken or anything. Cats are not crazy about it because they have to be shaved and held in a funny position for a few minutes, but that's it.  Michelle   P.S.
