To Whom It May Concern:
I went through a terrible experience needing to put my persian to sleep after he became very anemic and ill secondary to the feline leukemia. It was such a surpise. I got my cat, Simon, from a well known breeder. I also got another cat from her. They were never exposed to other cats or step foot outdoors. Simon became very lethargic and decreased appetite. He went to the vet where they did blood work to find out he was very ill and tested positive for the leukemia. Fortunately my other cat tested negative but they told us we should wait 60 days secondary to the incubating period. It all never has made sense. Recently I was given a new cat but we are not completely through the 60 days. What should I do? Does any of this make sense? I am praying that my other cat will be okay because they have always been exposed to one another. They share the same liter box, food bowel, water bowel, everything. Can I expose my other cat to other cat or wait the 60 days?
Thank you for your help and time
Allison
