There are two good things about the strategy I suggested re: Nutrical-- 1) they like the taste of the Nutrical usually so the pill does not taste bad, and 2) if you get it back in their mouth it sticks because of the goopiness of the substance so it is harder to spit out.   You can also add wrapping the cat in a towel and holding the cat between your legs so you can use one hand to hold the mouth open and the other to stick the gob in.
