Erin,

I really have no experience with anyone that far "south".
I did call my vet (in Sussex Co)to see if she had any contacts there,
but no luck.

She did say that the FIV Vaccine (Yes, it really DOES exist) will show
as a positive reading on all the FIV tests normally done, so there is no
easy (or cheap) way for a shelter or rescue to know if the cat was
vaccinated or not (in which case it really IS infected). This is why
vets should be recommending microchipping when they give the FIV Vx now.

(She also said you can TRY the Western Blot test, but that it is NOT
cheap, and it is NOT guaranteed).

Michelle is over in Warren Co (west of Somerset), but I don't know if she
has any recommendations.

Terri is over by Princeton, and uses:
Carnegie Cat Clinic
726 Alexander Road
Princeton, NJ 08540-6302
609-951-0400
The doctor she usually requests is Dr Emily Jarvis, but Dr. Terry Miele is
good too.

(By the way, my vet also said that the FeLV Vaccine does NOT interact with
the tests like the FIV vaccine does - for what it's worth)

Hope you find someone - and don't let them tell you to PTS!!
