Thanks Sandra,
Bites and scratches come with the territory. I'm usually pretty smug
about the fact that I'm good at reading them well enough to avoid dog
and cat bites, (I'm a dog trainer and work with some "problem" dog
children too). I just wasn't paying enough attention. Star has his
appointment set for next Wed. His URI symptoms have been getting
steadily better and I'm thinking he'll be ready by then. I'm still not
completely convinced that our home is the best home for him. We'll just
have to wait and see how much he's willing to work with me to help him
fit in.

don't worry about the bite, I have had a few of them in the last 4
years with the boys that where intact, they seem a little more
unpredictable, but after beening neutered do settle down, and I have
never been bitten since they have had the chop. good luck and I am so
happy that he is in good hands
