This does happen. Could be the snap test is wrong. It's not
unusual to get a false positive or negative on that test. Trust the IFA
for now, but see what the bone marrow results are.
If kitty is otherwise healthy, keep kitty inside, and feed a good high
quality food. Wellness, Inova, Royal Canin, Precise, Eagle Pack are all
terrific. I'd supplement with Pet Tinic or some other antioxidant
blend. You can get Pet Tinic at
www.drsfostersmith.com.
Look into the interferon if kitty comes up positive.
Keep us posted!

group
Hello all
A ray of hope and i am confused
we got back her IFA test and it came back negative ????? when i was
talking to the vet she was a little confused as well due to all the clinical
signs and not quite sure if she believes it or not has anyone else had this
happen ??
So to help hold her over until the marrow results come back and this
should tell us what is going on i had them give her another transfusion and
was told to stay on the predisone until we get the results back and to keep
monitoring her HCT levels
The vet does not believe she has Hemo and i was told to discontinue the
doxycyline ???
she is definitely non regenerative
any suggestions

I was wrong in one of the things I said in my last email, then. I hope
it is hemo.

Neil,
Hemo can be
non-regenerative as well as regenerative.
