Praying for Lucy, Michelle. She's a little
trooper and I'm glad she at least doesn't seem to be suffering.
Throwing up is the trouble in my house
at the moment. Everyone except Pookie (who has CRF) seems to be doing it and not
a day goes by without it happening. I haven't been able to get to the bottom of
it yet but it's worrying. Kerry

loose stool of the last few months went away after 1 day on the raw food and she
was doing great. The starting the night before last she has been vomiting after
each meal (with the possible exception of yesterday morning). Her stools are
solid and once a day still, but very long and with a little blood on them.
She is bright, happy, and hungry and asks for food a few minutes after
vomiting. I am going to try to fast her for 24 hours to see if that
helps. She had been down to 2.5 mg every other day of pred, which I put
her on thinking it was IBD. Today was an off day but I gave her 5 mg
anyway after she threw up her breakfast. I called the vet but he can not (or
will not) see her until Wednesday and said to bring her to the ER, which is 45
minutes away and I have never been there (just moved back to NJ in August) and
Lucy hates the car and the vet and I am not sure what an ER would do anyway--
x-rays or something? The vet who treats our sheep was here today to do
acupuncture on her and gave Lucy a physical examination and could not feel any
masses or any thickening of her intestines, but said this does not mean there is
not something in the lining somewhere, inflammation or cancer or something
else.
Any suggestions, and prayers/thoughts, would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Michelle
